  • 1993: Formed with a single crew training at the Docklands Sailing & Watersports Centre as a charity crew

  • 1995: Entered the British Dragon Boat Racing Association in the Standard League

  • 1997: Standard League Champions

  • 1998: Promoted to BDA Premier League

  • 1999: 2nd Crew Formed; Winners of UK & Ireland Corporate Games Dragon Boat Racing Event

  • 2000: National Champions; Premier League 2nd Place; Standard League 2nd Place; Ladies crew formed, Winner of the Colenorton Trophy

  • 2001: National Champions; Premier League 2nd Place; Standard League Winners; 2nd Crew Promoted to BDA Premier League , Winner of the Colenorton Trophy

  • 2002: National Champions; Premier League Champions; Changed Team name from Texaco Dragons to Thames Dragons; Team names changed to Thames Taniwhas and Thames Titans, Winner of the Colenorton Trophy

  • 2003: Taniwhas were 5th in the Premier League and Titans were 11th in the Premier League as well, our showing at the national finals was strong, finishing 2nd overall!

  • 2004: Taniwhas were 4th in the Premier League and Titans were 5th in the standard League, as per 2003 our showing at the national finals was strong, finishing 3rd overall!

  • 2005: Taniwhas were 3rd in the Premier League and Titans were 3rd in the standard League, a strong showing at the National Finals saw us winning the coveted Colenorton Trophy - Victor Ludorum, 1st overall! we’ve won it more times than any other team in the UK!

  • 2006: Taniwhas were 2nd in the Premier League and Titans were 15th in the standard League after only making it out once, a good showing at the National Finals saw us taking 2nd

  • 2007: Taniwhas were 1st in the 200m Premier League and 2nd in the 500m Premier League.  We came 2nd overall at the National Finals

  • 2008: Taniwhas were 7th in the 200m Premier League and 6th in the 500m Premier League.  We came 2nd overall at the National Finals

  • 2009: Taniwhas were 5th in the 200m Premier League and 4th in the 500m Premier League.  We came 3rd overall at the National Finals

  • 2010: We were 8th in the 200m and 500m Premier League.  We won the 200m Mixed competition!

  • 2011: We were 12th in the 200m and 500m Premier League. We got silver in the 200m Mixed competition.

  • 2012: We were 11th in the 200m and 500m Premier League.

  • 2013: We were 13th in the distance competition and 12th in the 500m Premier League, having only attended one event!  We got bronze at the national finals in the 200m Mixed competition.

  • 2014: We were women and senior champions over all distances and secured three bronze medals in the open and mixed categories and a promotion to the premier league. We gained a recognition award from the British Dragon Boat Association for being the most improved team of 2014.

  • 2015: Again we are the women and senior champions over all distances and a silver medal in the mixed 500m competition at the national finals.  We were 6th in the premier league, 4th in the mixed league and 1st in the women's league as part of LRC Ladies.

  • 2016: Again we are the women champions over all distances and podium finishers for seniors and mixed competitions at the national finals.  We were 6th in the premier league, 4th in the mixed league and 3rd in the women's league as part of LRC Ladies.
